Who is Icarus Candle Co.

I took up candles as a way to focus and slow things down and fell in love with the process, which is perfect for me with my attention to detail. Working with the wax and oils in the small batches (typically 12-24 at a time) I feel allows me to meticulously watch the temperatures to obtain that perfect scent load.

Fragrances to me have always needed to be just right, and as an avid rose and lily gardener too, even nature isn't over bearing with aroma's in the garden. I've never been a fan of commercial candles, even though some are pretty decent, but to actually enjoy the smell totally different.

When I'm not at work, hiking or maintaining the household, I'll be working on putting some wonderful candles together for y'all. Hopefully you love the canning jar choice as much as I do, really wanted to go for that country homestead candle feel with it, in its simplest appearance.

I'll do my best to keep up with responses to comments and or questions up until I get internet at my new place ( kind slackin there) my time frames for response will be limited, however I'll strive to get back to y'all within 24 hrs.
